My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California.
My boyfriend and I both signed a lease together. Thing is that it got really violent and I want to leave. I reported him to the police and it's under investigation. Now he gone MIA and I haven't seen him in days. He blocked my calls and everything. The lease says if the tenant wants to break the lease early he or she has to pay for the remaining lease which is not what I can afford.
Ideally I want to leave the lease with him still on it. Is that possible?
