My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ohio
I was arrested and charged with felony theft and because this was my first offense I was eligible for the Diversion program. I have successfully completed the program and I would like to know specifically what happens to this charge. My Diversion officer said it takes 2-3 months and it will "go-away" So does that mean, if an employer does a background check, they will not see my charge? Or will they? What about an FBI check? Will they see my charge even though I completed the program? What about when apartments run a check on me? What will they see? Please advise specifically, Thank you.
