My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of New Jersey. I received a ticket on my windshield for " 39:3-40 driving after DL/registration suspended/revoked" but I was never pulled over. Can an officer issue a ticket for this if I was not driving? I think he put in my plates saw I was suspended but I don't drive my wife has been driving and she has never been suspended.
