My brother has Alzheimer's disease and has a hard time working through tasks that require multiple steps. Anyway, he got this letter in the mail saying there is unused private retirement benefits at an employer he used to work for. The letter shows it is 401 K Profit Sharing Plan Trust, in the amount of $15K.
He said he called him employer and they told him there is no money. But that is strange since this letter just came to him. He went on SS disability a few months ago.
Is this something a lawyer needs to get a hold of?
