My question involves court procedures for the state of: Texas
Hello everyone,
My father was sued by Portfolio Recovery for a Capital One credit card he had, he was sent a summon from the court. He called and settled with Portfolio Recovery, and paid the amount before the court date. Today we recieved a court letter in the mail stating Plaintiff's Notice of Non-Suit and it is been set as a Try or Dismiss Docket. What does this mean and what happened to the money paid to the Collection agency? Also do we need to do anything to prepare before going to court?
