My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: NC i have some funds under 500k I wanted to set up in a discretionary trust. I called two attorneys the local attorney would draft one for $350.00. The other attorney who works for one of the better law firms in the state said it would cost around $1,200.00. Since it is a small estate I do not know which one to pick. I am assuming most use software for the rough draft. I thought discretionary trust are one of the simplest trusts to draft although the one I am doing has specific instructions on how the funds are to be used and amounts dispensed so there are no conflicts.
