My question involves child abuse or neglect in the State of: Ontario ,Canada
I want to file charges against my Father who sexually abused me 16 years ago when I was minor. He also attempted to sexually assult my sister when she was also a minor but she got away and flee.However,one time when my sister was sleeping while everyone was at work he went into her room and sexually assaulted and she left.She went to CPS and the cops were involved but he denied the abuse so nothing was done. They also interviewed my step sister who was 10 at that time if she was abused to which she denied.I was out of town when this happened so I wasn't involved in this case
The abuse has left me a life time psychological damage and I am in therapy.I wanted to file charges but i'm not sure what kind of evidence they will need given it happened years ago.will my sister corroboration to my story help?What kind of evidence would they need .I live in Canada and we don't limitation for sexual abuse/assault charges
