My question involves real estate located in the State of: WA.
I am a condominium owner. Our association has a pool and hot tub. The majority of our demographic are snow-birds are they only utilize the condo and amenities part-time (6 mo. or less). The rest of the minority demographic "us" are full-timers, living at the condo year round (12 mo.). The pool is closed seasonally (Oct. through April). I don't have a problem with that.
Recently at a board meeting, the board discussed the possibility of shutting the hot tub down seasonally (it is currently open year round). Their reasoning was more or less "Wasn't cost effective to keep it open for so few people." I would like the hot tub to remain open year round.
Do I have any rights here or an argument to make? My deed states that I have an undivided interest in said condo and amenities.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel discriminated here. The hot tub will only be open when the snow birds are in town. When they leave, we full-timers just have to suck it up and go without. We are very solvent financially.
Personally, I'd like to see the hot tub AND the pool open year round.
What say you? Thanks for your time.
