My question involves estate proceedings in the state of: Missouri.
My estate lawyer hasn't returned my call for 6 days so here goes.
My father in law passed 6 weeks ago and before he went I told him I would take care of his wife after he passed. They have two daughters... my wife being one. Both he and my mother in law said we should sell their house and our house and buy a house with a mother law quarters so she could stay with us. The other daughter is ok with this. She will not share in the proceeds of the sale of her mom's house but will get half of the 450,000 dollars cash she has when her mother passes. In short my question is how do we title the deed to protect everybody's estate. We would never renege on our agreement to let her live there until she passes so if its beneficial her name wouldn't have to be on the deed. thanks in advance.
