My question involves vehicle registration or title in the state of: California
Hello everyone and anyone, I would like you let you know before hand that I am originally a third party observer at first. However, the injustice that was inflicted upon the person I met was too great to bear standing by and watch. Thus, I decided to wholeheartedly assist him. Sadly, I am not a lawyer and my knowledge, wisdom, and life experience are sorely lacking. The elderly man is left homeless and vehicle-less because his family conspired to steal everything from him and left him for dead. The crimes and evils inflicted upon the man is too broad to be contained within a single topic, I probably have to split up his problems and post them in other sections as well. This is the first of many posts I will probably make in order to assist that elderly man.
Background:
On July 1st, an elderly man attended court in support of his great grand children, a little girl and a little boy, who were victims of child molestation and child abuse. Upon exiting, the grandmother who was trying to bury the family's long history of shame and sin with molestation and child abuse confronted the elderly man. She was angry because the great grandfather was the one who taught the boy to strip his clothes and show them to the teacher and show them the bruises the next time he was beaten up by his father. Upon the investigation, it was found out that the stepfather had been molesting his step daughter as well. The great grandfather had to go to such extreme because for at least 4 years, the abuse had been going on an been ignored by the other family members and the authorities. It is because the abuse have been perpetrated by a person who was Correctional Officer and he wore a Sheriff Deputy uniform. He intimidated at least 4 schools to keep quiet about the boy's bruises in the past. The "Blue Line" was protecting him, but only for so long and only as long as people fear it.
Anyway, he got out from attending the court session, got into an verbal argument with the grandmother about the kids, then exited the court building. It turns out, they had set a trap for the old man. At the parking lot, there was Police Officers as well as Sheriff waiting for him. The grandma had somehow removed the old man's name from his truck as Co-Owner A through the other Co- Owner B, his common law's wife/ domestic partner. The elderly man present his registration and title to the car with his name on it, but the grandma who were able to steal his truck because her title and registration is more up to date. All the elderly man could do was hand over his truck as the Police Officers and Sheriff orders it. Thus, that is the main point of my question.
Questions:
Can Co-Owner B remove Co-Onwer A name from the Title and Registration of the vehicle without Co-Owner A knowledge and signature? How can the "new owner" just call the cops on the real old owner and have it forced to be turn over without warning? Is that even legal? If it is illegal, how can the Co-Owner get his vehicle back? What can he even do at this point?
Documents pertaining to the vehicle that the old man has:
Insurance Card
2016-2017 Registration Card (Co-Owner A or Co-Owner B)
Anything else was stolen from him when he was unjustly evicted from his own home that he bought 45 years ago with his common law wife/domestic partner (Which is a whole nother can of worms, I will leave it for a later post in another section.)
Thank you for your time,
