My question involves workers compensation law for the state of: Florida
Right now I have an exemption from worker's comp for the construction industry as I am the sole owner/agent on my LLC. I am a carpenter. I am considering filing a new LLC with myself and 2 others who will each own 10% of the new company. We will each be allowed an exemption from worker's comp. My concern is: I am well known under my present company name so I would like to have a similar name but want to be sure I am legally separate from my original as I will still be working under that name as well. Is it okay to have a name like Quality Carpentry LLC and Quality 1 Carpentry LLC as long as I keep all accounts separate?
