My question involves business law in the state of: Texas
Hey there, I am starting an online magazine and have a few questions regarding some legal aspects. I know laws vary by state, but even some general information would be of the utmost help.
What I mainly need to know is, what legal processes do I need to go through before launching? This is a partnership between my brother and I and we have seven-eight contributors who are volunteering their time to write for the first issue. I know I need contributor agreements. Is there an agreement out there that I can use, do I need to write one, or have someone else do it?
Also, what do I need to do about copyright issues? Do I need to register the magazine and what about a statement for putting inside? Is there a standard statement that I can tweak to my needs or...?
Do I even need to go through very much since this is just an online publication?
