My question involves paternity law for the State of: Florida
Back in December of 2015 I contacted my father, now we have a strong relationship and talk almost everyday. He was never put on my birth certificate and now that we have a relationship I want him put on it. I am 22 and don't want him having to pay any back child support because my mom signed over legal guardianship of me when I was 3 years old.
I just want to see if I would have to have my mom sign anything or if it would have to go through the court and make sure he wouldn't have to pay anything because he wasn't there.
