My question involves restraining orders in the State of: California
My daughter recently within the past year 1/2 has been hanging out with a girl and they claim to be in love. This is a codependent unhealthy obsession kind of relationship. We have spent countless hours talking to our daughter about how toxic this situation is. She is an honor student, top athlete, and has always been a respectful child. She is now 15 and cheating on tests, failing classes, self harming herself (which the other child does and my child never did until she met this girl) both sets of parents want this relationship to stop because we all believe based on actions and secret letters and skipping classes together that they are in an unhealthy toxic relationship- both girls refuse to listen and continue to break both sets of family rules. My main concern is all the cutting (I now have my daughter in therapy) can I get an order to keep these two apart to give my daughter space to get healthy ? Her life has fallen apart since being influenced by this girl, her family life, safety to herself, and her academics and sport have all suffered. I should ad I'm fine with her sexuality, I'm not fine with this particular relationship because it's very intense, influential and unhealthy.
