My mom and dad wish to divorce mutually in order to lower his Medicaid costs that will skyrocket in May. He is no longer for reduced Medicaid as long as my mom is still working and they are still married. They wish to get divorced so my mom can still work to support our family while he still receives Medicaid at a lower cost. They will still be living together and my father will file an uncontested response to my mom's petition. Will the court still order my mom to "pay" support to my dad even though he consents her to pay nothing? And if they will order some sort of payment, can we state in the documents that mom pays x amount, daughter pays x amount, and my dad consents to specific conditions? We just don't want my father receiving any "income" that would disqualify him from lower Medicaid costs. Thank you for your help!
