My question involves adoption law :
Parents are in jail for 10+ years. Mother is willing to sign parental release but we believe dad may not. We have had child for its entire childhood thru signed guardianship (5+ yrs). Ready to sign birth certificate as we are all not 100% dad is dad and get mom to release parental rights. Understanding am not dad but many dad's who sign believing they are dad are still forced to continue and pay child support even after proof they are not the father. Willing to take responsibility as due to parents abandonment situation and sign certificate.
