My mother is being harassed by her boyfriends 16 year old daughter. The mother refuses to stop the child, saying that because she's 16, she can't be controlled.
This child has posted slander about my mom publicly, sent several aggressive messages calling her horrible names, and has even called my mother's job (several times) telling them how bad of a person she is.
She (the minor) has done all these things because my mother is dating her father and he left his wife. While that is wrong, it's not illegal.
Does my mom have a chance at getting a "cease and desist" order or a restraining order placed on the minor?
