My question involves medical malpractice in the state of: Ohio
My mom has been in this same state mental hospital by court order 3 times. This was her longest stay at nearing a year. She has been on court ordered antipsychotic meds that entire time which were forcibly given to her. She's a complete zombie on these meds.
I had a meeting scheduled last Wednesday with the social worker to talk about discharging her but I got there to find out she had been discharged the day before and moved to a hospital affiliated group/transitional home. It is known that she would not take meds as soon as she was released. She had a seizure at the group home yesterday and more at the er that night. Doctor said it was caused by withdrawal from the powerful meds. Is this negligence on the hospital/group home/social workers part?
