Failure to Yield: Ticket for Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Speeding

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California

I received a citation in Los Angeles County with 2 violations on it. One for speeding (52mph in a 40mph zone) and one for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle. Both are 1 point infractions, and I believe that I will only be charged 1 point for the whole citation (even though there are 2 infractions)? Is this correct according to California Vehicle Code section 12810, subdivision (j)?

I am eligible for traffic school, and am planning to complete it. Will I still be charged a point because there are 2 infractions, or will traffic school take of both?
