Job Benefits FMLA Medical Certification from a Foreign Doctor for Person in USA

My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: California

My mother has multiple chronic conditions due to which she needs assistance for day-to-day activities and psychological support. She splits her time between USA and a foreign country. She sees doctors only in the foreign country. She has been in USA for couple of months, my wife helped her and now due to change of circumstance she needs my help. I want to take FMLA for 2-3 months.

Is it OK to get the medical certification from the doctor in foreign country since that is where all her treatment happened and her medical records are present, even though she saw him two months back? Or do we need to get it from doctor in USA?

For her conditions which began many years ago, what should the doctor specify for the question when did the condition start? Or should he mention the date she arrived in USA since she needs assistance here since we are her only family?

For estimate of time care is needed, can he mention 6 months (her duration of stay in USA) - in case I need to take leave at a later time? For continuous leave, can he give the start and end dates for the two months that I am requesting.

Traffic Lights, Signs and Controls: Stop Sign - 22450(A)

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: CA

I was ticked in Jan 2019 for allegedly failing to stop at a stop sign. I mailed an informal discovery request to the CHP, who after almost two weeks have declined to reply. What are the odds that if I do a trial by written declaration and ask for dismissal based on lack of discovery that I will win...?

Thanks!

Unlicensed Driving Can a Cop Pull You Over Just Because the Car is Registered to a Unlicensed Driver

My question involves a driver's license issued by the State of: ohio.

Today I got pulled over by a cop that was clocking people on the side of the road. I passed him and then another car or two passed him and then he decided to pull me over. I asked him why he pulled me over. He stated because the owner of the car is suspended. Well if he ran the plates it came back registered to a black male. I am a white female. Who he did not know my name or who I was to be able to see if I had a license or not. Should I fight this case

Visitors and Guests: Guest Parking Violators Want to Sue the HOA for Racism Before Towing

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Ca. Dear Readers, I own a condo in Signal Hill we have about 10 guest spots with signs indicating they are for guests only. We have the proper signs on the driveway indicating who would tow and the Ca. civic codes.

We now have about 3 units with renters who all park there and recently have sent a letter indicating they will sue the HOA mgmt for racism and targeting them due to their income level *(high income)!!! vs. the home owners who are average income. WTF?

I read the civic code and it says the towee can sue the HOA mgmt company 2x if found to have illegally towed them. Does anyone have any ideas as what to do? They have been parking for over 7 months now and it's upsetting to say the least.... The management states we do not have any specific wording the CCR's about the guest parking.

Thanks, David

Retail Fraud / Shoplifting: National Retailer Theft Database Report - Yes, "in Most Cases" It's Gone in 7 Years

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia.

In my younger and dumber days, I worked with a bunch of folk who helped themselves to work merchandise. So I did too. I got caught, had a nice talk with LP in the boss's office, and paid for all missing merchandise (I suspect some of the other's folks was in my fee, but whatever). No charges were made because the LP said he could tell I hadn't done anything like that before (no record and all he had to say was "anything you want to tell me?" and I was confessing).

I later tried to get a job with a retail chain and discovered this database exists when I was mailed a letter saying "no, I didn't have a job with them after all" and they included a copy of this file of mine.

This company chain I worked for has been out of business for 9 years now. My offense was 16 or so years ago. I've been scared to apply for a retail job ever since. How can I know for sure my name got dropped? I sent for a report from HireRight, but opted for email since I didn't want that going to my home address. They warned "not all reports will be emailed". Is there anything else I should be doing?

Civil Procedure Issues: Urgent: Can I Depose an Employee Pay It Forward

My question involves court procedures for the state of: CALIFORNIA

Dear Friends,

I want to depose two employees that were present during the matter before the State Court and the subject of the lawsuit.

The opposing counsel (we're in California) says I can only submit a deposition notice to the corporation itself and the corporation will decide who to send to the deposition.

Is this true?

Thanks for any help and promise to PAY IT FORWARD!
