Name Not on Eviction

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: NC. My BF was evicted from our home under a oral lease with LL. He was given 10 days in court to vacate. My name was not on the lease or anything at ALL about any other occupants in the home needing to go. I'm assuming she wants us all out of the home but I have a 1 year old and a 2 year old and 10 days was not long enough to find somewhere else to go(I've been applying and the soonest thing I've been able to find won't be available for another month, but still searching). I understand I need to go, I am just wondering if it would be possible to stay here(since I wasn't on the eviction) and possibly get my own eviction to buy me time to find somewhere for me and my kids to go? My question is simply this, can I legally stay and have my own eviction process or can the law make me leave also?

Survivors Benefits: Appeal the Denial

My name is Perry,

I have recently applied for survivor benefit after losing my husband 2 1/2 years ago. I turn 60 this month. My husband and I were married for 4 months when he passed away. I knew my husband most of my life and we were together for years. I was denied the benefit and plan to appeal. I believe the reason for denial is because of the length of time we were married before he passed. My question is what would be good reason (reason for them to reconsider) for appealing this decision. Thank you for your time.

Sex Offenses: Accused of Sending a Nude Photo to a Minor

I am 21, this female I was 15. I only sent mirror selfies but she sent a picture of her in a thong. She is telling other individuals that I sent her a nude photo. Knowing I didn’t what would I need to do if the rumors keep spreading and I did nothing but she did? Because she’s young cananything be done?

Traffic Accidents: Roundabout

My question involves an accident that occurred in the state of: Indiana

I was in an accident on a roundabout I merged in to the roundabout in the inner lane I was trying to exit the traffic circle on the 4th exit when i say a white truck coming at me I slammed on my brake and we barley hit. ( it was raining) There was damage to the front of my car, but no damage on his car. There was a witness who stopped and gave me his information. Like i told the insurance and police office i'm not sure were we hit. His insurance company called and said they spoke to the witness and the other driver and they are not accepting liability. I attached a picture I entered the Traffic circle by BP and the other driver entered at Culvers. What should i do next???? The law of a roundabout " in a Multi-lane roundabout , you must yield to both lanes of traffic.Once a gap in traffic appears, merge into the roundabout and proceed to your exit. I feel he didn't yield to me. The guy was driving a company truck, so i'm guessing they just don't want to pay out!

Other Injuries: Confusion About the Term "Insanity" in Reason to Tolling Statute of Limitations

Question about tolling in Michigan-Insanity Rule

First off, Aaron, thanks for this discussion board. You're doing more good than you will ever know!

Two-fold question:

At this Website, https://www.expertlaw.com/library/li...of-limitations

You write:
"in addition to late discovery, it may be possible to avoid the harsh result of a statute of limitation by arguing that the statute has been "tolled". When it is said that a statute is "tolled", it means that something has stopped the statute from running for a period of time. Typical reasons for tolling a statute of limitations include... mental incompetence (the victim of the injury was not mentally competent at the time the injury occurred)...

What you wrote is different from what the Michigan Statute reads, when it comes to the use of the phrase, "Mental Incompetetence."

Instead of "mental incompetence," The State of Michigan Statute 600.5851 uses the term INSANE. (here):

http://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(mw0...e=mcl-600-5851

600.5851

(2) The term insane as employed in this chapter means a condition of mental derangement such as to prevent the sufferer from comprehending rights he or she is otherwise bound to know...

My question is two-fold:

1) What is the difference between the meaning of "insane" and and the meaning of "mental incompetence?" Is there case law that points to these terms being identical?

2) Would a condition such as PTSD (which include symptoms like emotional numbness, avoidance and inability to remember an important aspect of the traumatic events) QUALIFY as "mental incompetence" with regard to being able to "comprehend rights he or she is otherwise bound to know"-- as required in the statute?

Again, any case law you know of?

Thanks again!

Deprivation of Civil Rights: Ring Ring, White Collar Financial Crime Experts

My question involves civil rights in the State of: North Carolina
Every State has Laws to bring, those who misuse legal documents to steal(embezzle) assets and harm others; to Justice.
The US Supreme Court Unanimously decided way back in 1967 that White Men and Black Women who marry In Love, is totally USA Constitutional!
388 US 1(1967) Loving v Virginia.
My Civil Rights Complaint involves individuals who have misused legal documents to deprive my late husband and I, of Our 14th Amendment Due Process, Constitutional Rights, for the purpose of stealing our assets.
Love does not come in color.
And Power of Attorney Agents should not be allowed to exploit their Principals.
Ring Ring, White Collar Financial Crime Experts, will you all come to NC, and stop the crooks, and get our assets back?
Please

Arrest Warrants: Can They Take Me to Jail when I Show Up to Court

My question involves criminal law for the state of: California

I was arrested 2014 for controlled substance which was a felony but reduced to misdemeanor 2016. I moved out of county and have two FTA's and I was O/R ed for the second time from no bail warrant that was issued from not appearing. I am not missing my court date again and Im wondering what a review hearing means. It is also a different judge (not sure if that makes any difference). Should I expect them to keep me-put me in jail?
